2022 Holiday Wreath Making Workshop is Dec. 4
Join Windsor Garden Club and floral designer Mary Robledo in a hands-on workshop to learn how to make a holiday wreath for your front door.
Cost is $10 and includes some materials. The workshop is Sunday, December 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Windsor Mobile Country Club Community Room, 8019 Conde Lane. Class space is limited to 24 people.
The $10 admission price includes one 8-inch wreath frame, fresh evergreen boughs donated by local Christmas Tree lots and growers, 22-gauge paddle wire to attach greens and decorations to the frame, and double-wired ribbon for bows and flourishes.
Participants must bring their own pruning shears, small wire-cutting pliers, and own water bottle.
Wreath makers are also encouraged to bring along any extra material or decor items you may want to add to your wreath, or anything from your garden that you wish to share with the group.
Suggestions are trimmings of fir, cedar, pine (for evergreen color variety), silver-dollar eucalyptus, magnolia, holly, ivy, and natural embellishments like pomegranates, small citrus or dried citrus slices, pine cones, mossy oak twigs, and whatever else sparks your creativity.
If you have a lot to share please arrive at 12:30 p.m. to help put it out before the instruction and demonstration begins at 1 p.m.!
