Learn Mechanics of Flower Arranging
Windsor's annual Community Art & Flower show is set for March 8-10, and the Windsor Garden Club is helping residents get in the mood for some floral design.
The club is presenting a free demonstration at its regular meeting Monday Feb. 11 on "Floral Design Basics I - Mechanics and Arranging." The event runs from 6:03 to 8 p.m. in the community room of the Windsor Senior Center, 9231 Foxwood Dr.
Mary Robledo, owner of Flourish Floral Design, will be the presenter at the free workshop. She'll cover:
~ How to prepare your container and flowers for easier arranging and longer-lasting bouquets
~ The "Three Greens" rule to creating natural beauty and interest
~Placement of "Thrillers, Fillers and Spillers" in your vase/container, plus designing below the edge of the container
~ How to get in on the Windsor Garden Club's 2019 Design Workshop Group!
