Entries Wanted for Windsor's 2017 'Art in Bloom' Flower Show in June

Want to explore your budding potential as a floral arranger? Enter the 2017 Community Art & Flower Show in Windsor, sponsored by the town Parks & Recreation Department. The Windsor Garden Club puts on the Flower Show portion of the event (which also includes a visual arts show). Entries categories include floral arrangements and succulent arrangements.

This low-key, hometown flower show is the perfect way to enter the world of floral arranging and flower shows. Entry forms are available on the Windsor Garden Club website. Click here for the form. Entry forms are due by Friday, May 26.

Sequoia Floral International, event sponsor, is providing prizes for winners of the flower show. Best of Show, First Place Floral Design, and First Place Succulent Design will receive a $50 gift certificate to Sequoia Floral. Details on the 2017 Windsor Community Art & Flower Show:

When & Where: Thursday June 1st through Sunday June 4 in the Huerta Gymnasium in the Town Hall complex off the Windsor Town Green. Gala opening event on Thursday evening June 1 from 6-8 p.m. Show continues Friday through Sunday June 2-4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily in the Huerta Gymnasium. Admission is free.. Why: To kick off the summer season on the Green and showcase Windsor's hometown artists and designers. How: Entry to the show is free. Click here for the entry form, print it out and mail it to the club by May 26 (address provided in form). You can also bring your entry to the meeting on the 16th and have fun making an arrangement with the group. The competition is open to a total of 12 entrants in the floral category, and another 12 in the succulent category. You may enter both categories.
