Free Hypertufa Workshop Sept. 11

What's a Hypertufa? Find out at the Windsor Garden Club's first Hypertufa Workshop in the Garden Sunday Sept. 11. (You've waited long enough: a hypertufa is a molded concrete container that you make yourself. Boxes, leaves and other materials can serve as your cement molds. When finished, you've got a unique planter.)

Participants should bring a some "modest sized" boxes to use as forms for a decorative planter made with cement. The free workshop begins at 9 a.m. in the Town Green Community Garden at Windsor Road and Joe Rodota Way. The workshop is free, but reservations are required by Sept. 9.

The Windsor Garden Club is supplying peat moss, succulents, Portland Cement and other materials to make a hypertufa planter. The club is requiring RSVPs so that it can have enough materials on hand.
